The Best Flu Tonic

INGREDIENTS

10cm piece of ginger

3cm piece turmeric

2 lemons

1 small bunch of sage

1 small bunch of thyme

1 cinnamon stick

4 Welle Co sleep tea bags (or chamomile tea)

*Honey to serve

METHOD

Slice ginger and turmeric unto 1cm slices and place into a large pot which has a lid. Slice lemons into rounds and add, along with sage, thyme, cinnamon and tea. Cover with water and bring to the boil over medium heat. Once boiling simmer over a low heat for 30 minutes. Serve as is or with a little honey for sweetness.

I like to keep this on the stove, adding in fresh herbs and lemons over a few days. It's also delicious served with ice on a hot day!
